Credentials

The formal record.

Education, memberships, awards and research funding. Short, because the work on the track record page matters more than any of this.

Where did I study?

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Ukraine's top technical university. Specialist degree, equivalent to an MSc, specialising in systems programming. Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Department of Specialized Computer Systems.

That is a systems and low-level background, not a web one. It is why I am comfortable in the part of an AI project that most people treat as a black box.

Which professional bodies am I in?

IEEE, Senior Member. Senior grade is not automatic. It is reviewed by an elevation panel and requires years of practice with evidence of significant work.

ACM, Professional Member.

What has been recognised?

EBFA Tech Pioneer Award, 2024. European award for technology entrepreneurship, given for AI and technology work in the small and mid-market business space.

AITEX Summit, judge, 2026. Judge and expert reviewer for the "From Concept to Creation" track, which covers taking AI products from idea to something people actually pay for.

Two more belong to teams I ran rather than to me, so I list them that way. Overdose Digital won Commercetools Partner of the Year more than once, and Yotpo Excellence APAC, during the five years I was Managing Director.

Is any of the current work funded or peer-reviewed?

Yes, on the ERIDA side. The research track is funded in part by a Swiss innovation cheque, with the University of Bern's Institute of Sociology as research partner, studying how well digital tools actually work in refugee integration.

That means the product gets measured by people whose job is to be sceptical about it, which is a rarer thing in AI than it should be.

Did I switch into AI, or continue into it?

Continue. Neural networks were part of the degree at KPI, taught as mathematics, back when almost nobody could put them to work on anything. The recent training is an extension of that, not a retraining.

Machine Learning Specialization, and Generative AI with Large Language Models, both from DeepLearning.AI and Stanford Online, completed 2024. Verified certificates.

Most of what I know about building with these models still came from shipping things that broke.

Thirty minutes, no deck. Tell me what is stuck and I will tell you whether AI is actually the answer.
